As your Optometrist and primary eyecare provider, Dr Shearer has always put your needs and wellbeing first and foremost. Anything that would compromise the integrity of that relationship must be corrected. To fully honor the above tenets, Dr. Shearer has made the decision to discontinue being an in-network provider for Davis Vision. So what does this mean for our loyal patients who have Davis Vision as their vision plan?

If you have an HMO plan, our patient coordinators will try everything in their power to get a referral, but ultimately that responsibility falls on the patient to obtain that referral from his/her primary care physician in order to be seen for services. We accept insurance as a courtesy to our patients and work hard to provide each of them with the best possible care within the budget they are given by the insurance provider.
